Hello, my dear friends! A winter neutral that is ultra versatile and understated, what would it be? Yes, You got it, it is gray. Gray pairs well with any color, blends in with the winter landscape, and not as harsh as black. Winter fabrics such as cashmere, tweed, suede, look especially luxurious in gray because it shows the texture better. Today, I am going to show you an outfit layered with all shades of gray.
Layering with gray is just the same as layering with other neutrals — piling various shades of gray. In today’s outfit, I basically reworked this outfit from last season by chaining the white shirt to a longer, half-dress one, and adding an additional layer underneath for extra warmth. You can skip the turtleneck by wearing just a neck scarf or none. Since the turtleneck under a collared shirt look is in this season, I went with turtleneck.
Same thing with the silver puffer, you can opt out of it and pair a regular coat or trench instead. The only thing I’d make sure is, that the coat is either longer than the dress or shorter than the herringbone top for the proportion to work out right.
Thank you so much for reading! A lot of times, the fun of getting dressed is coming from not buying new pieces but restyle with old ones to make them new again. ^^ See you in my next post!
