Monochrome Folds

Hello, my dear friends! Words are poor when it comes to describe how I feel about this black and white monochrome look. The first time I saw the sweater, one side back and the other side white, and the spoon-shaped sleeves, I thought about the yin & yang sign of zen. Even though the world is not strictly black and white, we could do so with style.

Besides the two contrasting sides of the sweater, I layered with a dress that has black and white folds. Visually, there could be more black or white depends on how one moves. That brings me back to the starting point, there is more gray than I expect in this monochrome look.

Choice of white boots with black toe shouldn’t be a surprise. The softness of these boots also make them more ideal for the easy-going garments. I want to have some variation to the colors but not too dramatic like a prime color, beige stepped in nicely. Alternatively, I’d use other soft colors such as pale pink, light blue, mint, silver gray, even lilac.

Thank you so much for reading! I will be in New York for fashion week this week, so there might be slight delay for the next post, please follow me on Instagram to see what I’ll be up to during NYFW.  See you in my next post!
