Boy Meets Girl :: Fluffy Pink & Grid Suit

Hello, my friends! I’ve been struggling with posting as of late because a few other projects I began to work on. Hopefully, I will be able to share the exciting news with you soon! For the time being, I will continue to hash out some details and playing catch up here.

Today’s mood can be summed up into one word — oversize. From the faux shearling coat to my sunglasses, everything is somewhat exaggerated, making the overall silhouette very boyish.valentino-16

I’ve always attracted to the image of a Katherine Herpburn wearing man’s suit, and this image I saved from a 2013 editorial just confirms that. Once I found a pair of wide-leg, cuffed, Prince of Wales fabrication atop of everything else, dress pants, I knew I was ready to present my own ‘man’s suit’ look.productsBG1valentino-15valentino-14valentino-4

This look could have been 99% boy if I topped it with black or gray coat, brogues and fedora, with only 1% girl represented by a no-shirt, bare chest. But, there is always a “but”, my man-pants is pinkish brown, and I was heading to a business reception. So out of the window the notion of going bare-chested, a brown satin blouse with three buttons unbuttoned. Pink faux shearling coat provided good warmth and more girly flare, then the pink clutch and pink sunglasses…okay, I’ve gone far. 😀valentino-21 valentino-12 valentino-23

Thank you so much for reading! Until my next post!

Love this! I have a pair of extreme flares very similar to your pants except they are more tan. Such a fun look!

Thank you! I love wide-leg pants even though they require some serious high-heels to pull off, but the resulting look is just so polished! 🙂
