Monochrome Blocking :: Black, White & Red

Hello, dear friends! I remember reading an article on office style and how someone wear a 10-piece wardrobe for a month. Although this might be drive me nuts but I have to admit that I love how multitasking each piece is of that wardrobe. In real life,  a like-kind wardrobe is totally accomplishable with a few key pieces in neutral colors such white, black, beige and navy.

Remember the white & beige pant set I wore last week with black piping, today’s outfit is similar but in black and white. The top has a removable neck tie, and unique white trimming on the sleeves, whereas the culottee pants also have white trimming. With the common character of opposite color piping, these four pieces can be mix-matched and create four looks that are both chic and office-friendly. 5S6A0684 5S6A0683 5S6A06665S6A0641

It so happens I have a pair of white-trim black booties (you see how I love this kind of look) so I decide they would be better fit for this wide-leg look instead of black or white pumps. For more off-duty vibes, slides or sneakers would be perfect with these looks.

For the entire look is black & white, I chose to add a little color through a color-blocking handbag, otherwise, the look might be a bit too sever.5S6A0731

All in all, basic styles with some design details are the best candidates for mix-matching. I hope you have enjoyed both outfits I presented here, and would want try to create your own monochrome color-blocking looks.5S6A0662
