Hello, my friends! With this exceptional warm weather, the sun is dancing around most days, which always puts me in a good mood and inspire color palettes of the delicious hues of gold and brown: caramel, pumpkin, mocha, cream…Even on grayish days, wearing something from this color group automatically lifts the mood.
The other week, I spotted this faux fur gilet at Zara, it was love at first sight. It has the perfect blend of the brown/camel colors. The immediate thought was to pair with other colors of the golden brown family, so this suede pinafore dress came in mind, so was the dark beige bag. The rest of the look should be kept in simple, solid colors as well, I thought, then as I was looking for the ideal brown to match the golden suede, I saw this leopard tie-neck blouse. It was perfect — the same set of colors as the gilet but in another exotic arrangement.
Chose over-the-knee boots because they connect seamlessly with the midi skirt, and elongate the legs. How do you like the suede on suede? Even with the color difference, the same texture connects the dress and the boots so they appeared to be a more continuous piece and the body is not divided into three sections as would with shoes of regular leather, or ankle-height shoes. If I were to wear skinny jeans or shorter skirt with the gilet, I’d opt for the same boots but with wider-leg pants or long skirt, ankle boots or sneakers might be better.
