Hello, my friends! Greetings from the sea, we boarded the cruise ship yesterday and have been sailing since. It is good to have some down time between busy travel stops, don’t you agree? And what is better to do than catching up with you guys on the blog? ;D
This dress I wore earlier last week when we were still in Seattle, the weather turned out cooler than I had expected, so I put on this high-neck dress thinking it’d keep me warm. I was wrong, again. The eyelet /lace material of the dress made it very breathable despite the volume and high-neck, fortunately, my denim jacket came to the rescue. With that in mind, layering with a thin turtleneck t-shirt underneath, would make this dress fall-prove.
When I posted a picture of me wearing this dress on Instagram, I received multiple comments about it being regal. I think it is largely due to the Victorian neckline and the golden ball earrings, which I think, will be a big trend this fall, not being regal, but being glamorous, at any time of the day.
Daytime glamour is much easier to accomplish than one’d imagine. All you need is an element or two that is posh and extravagant, in today’s outfit, this eyelet dress with Victorian neckline and poet sleeves. Other things you can count on to deliver daytime glamour are velvet and metallic everything. Although the more the merrier in this case, you can always ease you way in with shoes or bag.
Whereas there is glam, there is a need of casual to make the whole look daytime ready. I relax the overall look with denim jacket and combat boots. Denim is no doubt, the magic dust of casual, pair it with anything when you want that effortless look but make sure your denim style is up to date.
Thank you so much for reading! I hope to share with you another travel outfit with you in my next post, see you then!
