Harbor Style

Hello, my dear friends! How was your Mother’s Day weekend? I took the weekend off social media, it was a much needed break. čśÇ Meanwhile, it is finally looking like spring here in DC, so long heavy jackets and sweaters, hello t-shirts, dresses and light-weight knits! As my entry to the National Harbor Virtual Fashion Week Style Star challenge, I styled a daytime looks and a date-night look, with all items (shoes excepted) that I found at the boutiques in National Harbor.

Some of you might remember National Harbor from a post I did two years ago, with the Awakening statue. In the recent years, National Harbor has become a top destination for leisure in the DC area. This time, I found a lot more public art and new restaurants, even the fashion scene is picking up with a number of speciality boutiques opened. The overall vibes is still very lay back, so I want to keep the looks casual, fun yet on trend. My key style element is this awesome pair of relaxed-fit, cuffed denim that are cropped for warm days, an item that most of us would live in all day long. The second element is a crocheted cardigan that is feminine and breeze, a perfect layering piece when the temps are low in the morning or at night. With these two foundation pieces, my plan is to touch it up for the day look, and soften it further for a night out. Without further ado, here are the two finished looks:

Outfit 1 —┬áRocker Chic by the day
Outfit 2 —┬áSweet Boho for the night

As you can see, these two denim-focused outfits can be taken from weekdays to weekends, from day time to date night with a couple of simple changes. The best part? Both outfits are totally within reach because they cost on average less than $150 each!

If you like the looks , please vote for me to be the Captain of Harbor Style on National Harbor’s Facebook page. The voting will continue until this Friday.

Thank you so much for reading! See you in my next post!

DC must be beautiful during this time of year because of it’s Spring Bkossoms lined the boulevard. I love your outfit look, the cute dress top over the adorable bleu jeans are an absolute hit and chic for the Summer! Simply fabulous as always! čÖé

Thank you so much! I think the dress over jeans is a more fun and on trend look, too. čśë
