Happy July 4th, my friends! While many are enjoying the day off, hanging around the grill & cooler, I am busy unpacking and washing loads of laundry. Not that is not relaxing, but sometimes (fine, always) it is the case — we need a vacation from vacation! ;D
Naturally, my mind goes back to the time I had a true vacation, relaxed and pampered, on the Disney cruise ship. Like many cruises, it had formal dinning so I got to wear something unusual. It is a maxi number I scored on an indie designer network shopping site, packed and shipped by the designer directly from Hong Kong, how cool was that?!
I was amazed how small the package was when it arrived, then it bloomed into this long, flowy dress! The print is like brush strokes going acid but not so crazy that it would induce motion sickness. Because of the busy pattern and trim on top, I decided to keep the rest to a minimal, only accessorize with small gold-tone jewelries and ankle strap sandals, which was only visible when walking.
The dress also does not have full lining, so the it is kind of see-though when held against the light. I like the “special effect”, however, do you?
Thank you so much for reading! Until my next post!
