Hello! Happy Tuesday, or I should say, Happy Wednesday, by the time I am done typing and hit the “publish” button. ;D
Parenting, as challenging as it has always been, got even more stressful as these highly educated late bloomers start to push themselves to be the A+ parents so their children can get A+ at everything. Volumes after volumes of books are published on parenting. At my son’s school’s book fair, I saw a whole table dedicated to the subject. Had my mom read any of these books, could I be a better student? a better person? I wonder.
The truth is, no matter how many parenting books and tips we read, our actions speak louder than our words. Kids pick up our viewpoints, our attitudes, our manners, even our habits and hobbies. The other day, I found my older one scolding my younger one, using exact words I used to scold him. I instantly felt guilty. The good news is, I think/hope my enthusiasm towards photography has rubbed off a bit on the little fella, who gleefully volunteered to be my assistant at our last shoot. Here are his “works”, what do you all think?
Thank you very much for reading! My little helper didn’t really work for free, his compensation was a big chocolate chip cookie from Starbucks, which disappeared before I finished paying. 😀 See you in two days!
