Hello, dear friends! Is it just me, or you also noticed that gray and camel are HUGE this winter? The color of steel and concrete, grey often gives us the sense of modern, urban and sophistication. Not as dark as black, the shades of gray are gentler and more approachable. Though my favorite color is till blue, I definitely found myself more drawn to gray this season, especially lighter, silverish tones.
With that said, it shouldn’t be a surprise that I picked the gray version of this amazing sweater dress by Sacai I’ve seen it in white, navy, black and gray, they are all great on their own but gray is the one got my eye. A masterful mix of texture (knit, felt, cotton), slightly deconstructed (come in a shirtdress, a knit vest and a detachable collar), and a bit of color-blocking, this knit dress is a ball! I had the easiest time styling it and the most fun wearing it.
While the top part of this dress is kind of bulky and stays put, the skirt part is super fluid despite all the heavy fabric. When I put it on, it feels like angel air cake, big but airy, if you know what I mean. I paired with block-heeled lace up shoes for the same vibe, and a burgundy bag for a little more color but not overpowering.
Just for fun, I first worn the detachable collar as a head warmer in the morning and later, it’s intended purpose.
Thank you so much for reading! I hope you like this kind of statement garment and will give it a try yourself. See you in my next post!
