Happy Sunday, my dear friends! We’ve been on the road for nearly a week now, hopping from one town to another. For the last few days, we stayed at Disney’s Beach Club Villas, which is my favorite DVC (Disney Vacation Club) by far. If you are going to Disney with young kids and maybe grandparents, I highly recommend staying at one of the DVC locations, the entire Disney is a well-oiled machine and they know how to make a traveler feel at home.
December in Florida is relatively “chilly”, the temperature can drop to 50’s at night. I packed several denim clothing for this trip for this very reason. Today’s outfit is one of my all-denim look, with an affair with flare.
Did I mention before that flared denim is coming back? I certainly welcome and embrace this possibility because I like how they accentuate the curves of a female body. In a world full of drop-crotch pants and sweats, I think flare denim brings sexy back to the mix.
There are a couple of flare denim in my closet, one you’ve seen here. The problem I had with both was too much flare and low waist. The former made them less practical, the latter, oh well, all my mommy reader would appreciate. ;D So when the new design is moderately flared bottom and high-waist, I feel obligated to try it out. In the process of finding a perfect pair, I studied pictures online and finally ordered two: J Brand Martini and Frame Denim Le High. My final vote went to the Le High Flare because it has a more snuggle fit from waist to knee and the bottom flare is a tad smaller.
Espadrille and flare denim go hand in hand, IMHO. While pointy-toe flats would look super nice with flare denim, I didn’t have the legs to pull it off. For this denim “suit” is already a bit on the glam side, I paired with my oldie-but-goodie Alexa espadrilles for both the height and the comfort. I could literally walk whole day in them! With my over-size round black frame sunnies, do you see a little Rachel Zoe in me? I need to add a stack of cocktail rings and a 40-cm Birk? Humm, that might require some time…perhaps by them, the flare trend is over. ;D
Thank you so much for reading! Until my next post!
