Parisian Chic :: Midi Skirt & Maxi Coat

Hello, my dear friends! When I told people I blog about fashion, the most common questions I would get are: 1) why did you start? and 2) Where do you want to take it? My answer to the first question never change and my answer to the second one gets updated constantly.

Recognizable or not, this blog has always been a platform where I can share my passion for style and self-expression. Like a canvas is to a painter, upon this blog I display my visions of creative dressing. Over the past two years, I also learned that it is just as challenging and demanding as any type of startup business. Where would I want to take this blog, I don’t know. It has a lot to do with resources and opportunity. You can safely assume, though, that I’d always be “painting”, one outfit at a time

With all that said, I want to comment a bit about today’s outfit. The look overall is a daytime look but probably not one you expect to see in the office or at the supermarket. More likely you will see this girl reading a book quietly at the corner of a book store, or having coffee with her friends at an outdoor cafe. Of course, it makes the most sense if this all happens while you are visiting Paris, just like how they are portrayed in magazines.PetiteFlowerPresents-zara (3 of 15) PetiteFlowerPresents-zara (13 of 15) PetiteFlowerPresents-zara (12 of 15)

In reality, most of us, even oddball like moi, probably won’t dress like this on a daily basis. Precisely because of that, when you do, there would be a sense of time/space travel almost like role play, you couldn’t help but feeling giggly inside. Wouldn’t you want to try?PetiteFlowerPresents-zara (1 of 15) PetiteFlowerPresents-zara (11 of 15) PetiteFlowerPresents-zara (8 of 15) PetiteFlowerPresents-zara (15 of 15)

Thank you so much for reading! If I’ve persuaded you to test out a version of this look, please feel free to share your experience with me here in the comments. See you in my next post!

Thank you, Jennifer! It warms my heart to know that what I do inspires others, that is a key motivation of my blogging.

Can’t get enough of your Rochas shoes Holly! Really love how you touched on role-playing with different fashion finds, kind of like a canvas whereby the person donning the outfit is the artist. Such an inspirational post! 🙂 xo~ Lena

I think you can’t really where you want to take your blog because you evolve a lot regarding seasons, your style, etc. I think writing is a great way for the reflection (I would say it’s beyond great because expressing ourself is part of one of the most important things in life), and will get you somewhere for sure.
Beautiful look Holly and you look so elegant, always! I wish you a lot of success Holly! Have a nice day x
