Power of Repetition :: Brenton Stripes & Big Hat

Hi everyone! Even though it is September, the temperature doesn’t seemed to drop. The whole summer has been mild, overall, so it is comfortable to wear long sleeves. Last week, I wrote about getting ready for fall, I’ve been hoarding them since, now it seem like they have to stay in boxes a bit longer. 🙂

What I had on in today’s post was actually two separate pieces, a cropped top (last seen with wide-leg pants) and a tea-length skirt. Because the color and width of the stripes are so close, they looked as if they were a set. It is no secret recipe that repetition of the same pattern would have a bigger impact, we have been trying very hard to mix-n-match these days to look “effortless chic”, however, going back to some basics can be refreshing and eye-opening. ^^5S6A1494 5S6A1482 5S6A1509

Another thing I want to say about this outfit is it might appear to be costume-like because of the big hat, it really can be for many occasions, brunch, high tea, shopping, wedding…and if you are going to a garden party or country club, keep the hat. 😀5S6A16015S6A16385S6A1553

Life is too short for boring clothes, my friends! As the fashion world is busy peacocking in the month of September, why can’t we have a little fun?5S6A1655

Thank you very much for reading! See you in my next post!

I really enjoy reading this and the last posts partially because of the clothes, mainly because of your smiles.

Thank you, 揽香! That is great to know. It is my hope to provide some useful information to my readers instead of just pretty images.
