Silver Dots

Hello, my dear friends! Hope your week has been off to a great start! After a long trip to London and a weekend trip to New York, I finally got back to my desk and stay put for real. Good news, my travels have enabled me to gather great materials for the next few blog posts, so stay tuned for some fun reads! ^^

During a recent online interview, I got asked once again the questions of what defines my style. Even though I like to experiment with all the trends, essentially, I am a relatively conservative, small-framed, middle-aged mother, my style is definitely by what will make me feel confident. I love exaggerated proportions, feminine details, polished style with a little playfulness.

Even when I cannot embrace 100% a designer’s aesthetics, I always find a piece or two that inspire me, and manage to interpret it my own way. Today’s outfit is a perfect example, two emerging designers, both are known for their deconstructed yet very feminine designs, and what connected them and me are these round silver buttons.

A repeating element makes an outfit more cohesive and creates a stronger statement. Besides the buttons, the flare effect of the sleeves also echo that of the pants.

Thank you so much for reading! See you in my next post!
