Happy weekend, my friends! Only a few days left before Christmas, many are running around town to do some last minute chores, i.e. gift shopping (wink, wink). At the same time, holiday gatherings have reach their peak for the obvious reason. This past week, I’ve gone to No.2 son’s winter concert, No.1 son’s holiday party, dinner with my girls and tonight is gift exchange with the family. As much as I enjoy all the festivities, I also wonder why they all have to be this week?
Part of that must be my stressed self talking, the other part, however, is my philosophical self wondering what motivates us. This is what I think, you are more than welcome to differ. 🙂 A few days from now, will be the New Year’s Day, which many regard as a new beginning. it is like the reset button, we do a mental wipe-clean called “New Year Resolution”. Before that happens, wouldn’t it be nice to finish the old businesses, such as say “Thank You for a wonderful year”, “I am sorry we had a misunderstanding”, “It is great finally meeting you”…? A gathering is perfect for that, and this time of the year, everyone is more motivated to be extra nice and forgiving. ;D
All right, all right, you are not here to “watch” me babble. The outfit today was a daytime party look that I intended for my boy’s class party. I like the mix of girly (pink polka dots) and the quirky (half-ruffled), kids might find that fun and more approachable. A bedazzled sweater which they also love and fur vest to keep warm.
The sock with sandal thing, I’ve been wanting to try ever since I saw it done. It transforms a summer shoe to winter booties. How do you like it? Will you want to try as well? While you are at, top it off with a hat, will you? ;D
Thank you so much for reading! Until my next post!
