Hello, my friends! To celebrate the Lunar New Year, I’ve decided to wear something red everyday for the first three days. Last time, I wore red underneath gray, the entire outfit was subtle enough, but today’s outfit, is fire-engine loud.
What gets more eyeballs / glares, red, orange, neon yellow? My pick is highlighter yellow. Last spring, Jimmy Choo had this pumps that resembled the exact color of those neon yellow strips on a traffic guy’s vest, they literarily screamed at me among the sea of shoes. I fled. It is good to know one’s limits sometimes. ;D
Like all of you, I browsed the web for inspirations. When I came across this red coat, I was totally drawn to it despite the bright color. The coat is oversized, I was worried that my petite frame might get lost in it. The fabric is so light, however, the coat actually shift with me as I move. It is more like a fleece blanket rather than a tent, if that is the right description. ;D To echo the structure of the coat, I paired it with a origami collar blouse and a leather skirt. The skirt has an elastic panel in the back so it fits snuggly, but the ruching around the hip also allow it to shift with movements.
How do you like the ensemble, enough drama or too much drama? Thank you very much for reading! There is going to be one more red outfits, so stay tuned!
