Face Matter :: The Cushion & The Brush

Hello, my friends! Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend, it couldn’t have been more pleasant weather-wise when we were in Vegas, sunny and summer-like temps. The only things is, it is hard on the skin because of all the sun. As a blogger, taking pictures is like the meals of a day, have to have, multiple times a day, whatever can help keep the skin in photo-ready condition, especially when one is on the go, is a keeper. Beauty is not my focus of blogging, but the featured products in today’s post have been life-savers, I feel I’m obligated to share them with you!

First thing first, now spring is here and summer is approaching, sun-blocking is a top priority! I use SPF all year round — SPF 25 with foundation and powder, SPF50 when not wearing makeup, even the concealer I use has SPF. The trouble for me is I have layer them on to get a finished look, which could take up to 10-15 minutes depends on if I am wearing full makeup or not. Time consuming aside, the layers are not as comfortable when temperature rises, foundation and powder don’t like sweat, period. All these concerns were answered by one thing — the cushion!NMC1UBE_mz

This light-weight skin perfecter by Sulwhasoo provides excellent coverage and SPF50, it can be used along, reapplied throughout the day and look finished at any given time. Normally, it takes me about 5 minutes to apply the cushion to the entire face and neck area and a few dabs of concealer and I am ready to go. Because I don’t use powder on top of it, I am able to reapply later during the day without worrying about it gets blotchy.cushion (1 of 3) cushion (3 of 3)

Summer, city environment, stress, change of diet…all these have been working against the skin, making it stressed and oily, a good cleanse at the end of day is vital. A few months ago, I started using face cleansers by First Aid Beauty, which I picked while checking out at Sephora. I was very impressed by the cleansing power of this face wash. It became my everyday face cleanser when wearing light makeup. Combined with an electric face brush, I was able to clean my face throughly at the end of each day to prevent makeup residue and dust clogging the pores. Would recommend this cleanser to anyone for it is for all skin types. 🙂5S6A4171

There are many face brushes in the market, and this Foreo ultrasonic one is the second one I’ve used. Bought it more than half year ago but didn’t really start using it until recently. I was happy to “rediscover” the massage quality of this brush and the resulting micro lift. It has become my travel must-have, one full charge would last a seven-day trip.5S6A42475S6A4220

Would love to hear your experience with it! I am mostly happy with the coverage and moist effect. I have light beige.
