Texture Play :: Cream Cashmere & Burgundy Leather

Hello everyone! Has the holiday sprit caught up with you? As we marching into the final month of the year, things start to appear on our calendar — girls night out, boys night out, parents night out, holiday parties, dinners, happy hours. It seems as though everyone wants to see everyone before the year is over. I, of course, love December, not only I get to see everyone in such a cheerful mood, but also, everything and everyone is so glam!

When I was working for a big company, we used to have this huge holiday parties that would take over three floors of a big hotel. Thousands of people attended and people wore their fanciest attire. Oh, how I miss those parties! But, I wouldn’t trade my current freedom for any of that. ^^ During the next couple of weeks, I will show you outfits that could transform easily from day to night. Let’s play cyber dressing up. ๐Ÿ˜€

Today’s outfit is about mixing textures. For winter time, my favorite combo has to be cashmere and leather — they are compatible in keeping one warm but on the opposite spectrum in terns of texture and touch. In lieu of the oversized trend (yeah, fashion that permits eating!), I picked a chunky knit cashmere sweater and leather pixxie pants, paired with my new favorite booties.

In case you are curious why rock climbing? Where can you deposit your kids for a short half hour without having to call a babysitter on Sunday? ‘nough said.

I also missed company parties, but won’t treat my freedom for those as well!:) Again, you look fabulous in this outfit, not everyone can handle that leather pants!

Thank you, Joyce! If it was two years ago, I wouldn’t go for anything that is not figure hugging, but I have evolved. ^^

Love the combo!. I wish I knew you while in the same big party.

What a coincidence, as today I was in a mall looking for a pair wild legged pant.
