More Utility

Hello, my dear friends! Finally the kiddo madness was over and we began to experience radical spring weather! While I don’t mind the April showers bring May flowers and taking the pollen along the way, I am a bit lost as to what to wear when it is raining one minute, bright sunshine another. šŸ˜€ No bother to pick and choose, just throw one of everything on, a dress, a shirt and a pair of pants, voila!Wearing dress over pants is no news to fashionistas, it truly is the best of all worlds. Take off the dress or pants if it gets too warm, andĀ keep all layers on when it is cold.
The key style note of today’s look is that the dress is a trench dress in khaki color, one of the trendy colors of this spring besides pink. Utility chic are taking center stage as we speak. I so happen to have bought this trench dress two years ago, if you look forward to add an element of utility chic to your outfit, consider oversized trench, army jackets, pants or top with big pockets.

What’s underneath the trench dress is a totally different story — frill top and pants. They might sound a lot girlierĀ than they actually look, the zipped neckline and plaidĀ give the whole lookĀ some boyish charm.

To keep the overall look clean, I picked a small top handle bag that could be carried both ways, and a pair of red Mary Janes which will go with both the pants and the dress.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you will be inspire to give dress over pants a try! See you in my next post!
