Wind Catcher :: Tie-Die Gray & Sunset Gold

Hello, my friends! Another week flew by, this is the last post of our island vacay series. Though we got back long ago, flipping through those pictures instantly brought me back to the warm beach of Florida, I could almost feel the breeze and hear the ocean weaves, and see the seagulls flying into the sunset. Time freezes in pictures, a beautiful day like that I just want it to last forever and ever. 🙂

When did you take the pictures? Who took care of the kids? I had friends asking. Most of the time, we take pictures during the day while the kids are at school. In today’s case, we deposited the boys with grandparents, then ran over to the beach to snap a few shots. As I was walking on the beach towards the sunset, a combined feeling of joy and serenity overwhelmed me. The setting sun embraced everyone with its warm, golden rays, overexpose all imperfections, what could be seen was perfection.

I have similar feelings in the presence of the elders of our family (you bet my in-laws could be reading this blog, but seriously), their warmth and ability to forgive never fail to touch me. I am thankful that they are in my life and I am even more thankful that they are in my children’s lives. The Chinese uses “sunset red” to describe the beauty and grace of old age, I couldn’t think of a better match.

Thank you, Susan. I rarely go for tie-die clothing but Raquel is so cool, I think she could be the new Isabel. 🙂

The natural seashell necklace is so beautiful that it makes the whole outfit radiant, reminding me of the ancient Greek times, and, you look like one of the goddesses–whichever one is the favorite in an individual’s heart. To me, you look like Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and the moonlight.
