Shearling Coat
A shearling biker jacket, like the oversized one shown here is the ultimate winter leather jacket, it is one of those jacket that will never go out of style and always add a little edge to an outfit while keep you super warm. The price tag (~$2,500) of these jackets, however, is as heavy as its weight (usually 10-15lbs).
Thank goodness we have faux fur and faux leather, which helped to bring down the cost of very similar coats to less than $150, or $100 if you score them on sale. Although the faux ones are not as endurable nor warming as the real deal, the price point makes them almost a seasonal item and perfect for test-driving this look before you invest in the real one. There is also wider selection of colors and length. I've picked a few of them here, besides the classic black and tan, there is also indigo, red and even pink (scroll right to see all the styles):
My recent favorite biker jacket is this super awesome shearling one I scored during Nordstrom final cut. It is denim with oversized shearling collar. The collar is removable so I can still wear the denim biker during warmer months as well as clean the collar separately if needed. I got the jacket at nearly 70% off, you can score the same deal here.
On the watch list, I just checked in this leopard print faux shearling pea coat. Thought not quite a biker jacket, the style is very classy & sleek, so are the prints and material, it would be one of those coats you will always go back for a little extra wow factor with your winter outfits.
