Shearling & Sheer
Hello, my dear friends! Just did a recap of New York Fashion Week runway styles, you can see my top picks here. This post is my outfit worn on the first day (day 2 of NYFW), this outfit was featured on several publications as best street style pick, you can see links to the feature on my press page.
Quick note about the look: when I first spotted the coat, I knew I would love to wear it to fashion week, the monochrome contrast lines are so eye-catching. It's a big priority ATM for me to mix the very masculine with the very feminine, as I decided to go with a sheer skirt that also has a subtle hint of lines. With lots of black in both top and bottom, I finished up the look with more white: white turtleneck (btw, am craze about this line of turtlenecks, the fit and quality is superb), small white bag, and a white cap. The bag strap is orange which in a way, ties in with the red color of the skirt.
A big thank you to my friend Lavenda for all the amazing outfit captures of this post! You can see read her NYFW behind the scene recap on her blog, it is a quick and fun read, some photos are shoot by yours truly. ^^
